Maxima Press was founded in Paris by a group of anglophone writers united by a shared dissatisfaction with a modern literary landscape defined by trends, politics, and algorithms. Readers first, our mission was to republish great works for a modern audience.
 
That mission remains, but has recently expanded with the launch of Maxima Modern. This project seeks to offer a home to brilliant writers who have fallen through the cracks of the modern literary industry.
 
Together, these two strands form a single vision: to honor the past, to support the present, and to write and publish without compromise.
